For 2012 I'm changing my rating system to stars. Love the gamer reference of loot quality, but not everyone is a gamer and so it might just be amusing to me and impenetrable to everyone else.
☆ - Only worth reading if you're stuck in the dentist's office and this is the last bit of reading material on earth.
☆ ☆ - Just okay - it'll do in a pinch, but you can do better.
☆ ☆ ☆ - Pretty good - has some unique qualities, definitely worth reading.
☆ ☆ ☆☆ - Very good - read this book.
☆ ☆ ☆ ☆ ☆ - Excellent - this book is among the rarest of rare, a book that must be read and can be savored and re-read - it's just that good.
☆ ☆ ☆ ☆ ☆ ☆- Epic - this book is the best. Ever. Really.
