Wrap Up - Take Another Chance Challenge

This was a fun challenge and I'm calling it quits at 10 of the 12 challenges.  This puts me somewhere in between A Moderate Gamble and Gambling It All - perhaps it's the Almost a Gambling Problem level.

Many thank you's to Jenners at Find Your Next Book Here for sponsoring this and thinking up all the fun mini-challenges!

Here's what I read:
Just about everything I read for this challenge was pretty great.  I particularly enjoyed Roller Skates, Property, and Skellig.  Sadly I was unable to break my prejudice - I loathed Vampire Academy.  The genre switchup didn't work out all that well, either, but I may try a more classic Western at some point.  Zane Grey or Louis L'Amour anyone?

Great challenge!

  1. Hi!

I've been following you on Twitter! I wanted to say that Last of the Breed by Lamour is a great classic, as well as any of the Sackett stories. I never felt a fondness for Zane Grey as much as Lamour.

  2. Great job! The genre switchups and prejudices are hard ones to get past for the most part. But I think it's great to confirm your tastes every once in a while. :)
