The Thriller and Suspense Challenge 2010 was sponsored by Book Chick City. I am a sucker for various kinds of thrillers and suspense novels so this was a natural for me. The challenge was to read 12 books in the Thriller/Suspense genre - it's a broad category and these books are lots of fun.
Here's what I read:
- Jericho's Fall by Stephen Carter
- The Strain by Guillermo del Toro and Chuck Hogan
- Glass Books of the Dream Eater by Gordon Dahlquist
- In the Dark by Mark Billingham
- Crime Beat by Michael Connelly
- Raven Stole the Moon by Garth Stein
- Heresy by S.J. Parris
- Evidence by Jonathan Kellerman
- Hell's Gate by Stephen Frey
- Still Missing by Chevy Stevens
- Hardball by Sara Paretsky
- Blood Oath by Christopher Farnsworth
The real stand-outs in this group are The Strain and Blood Oath - both combine horror and
Jason Bourne-style thriller elements into two books that are great reading.
Congrats on finishing up this challenge. I think I'm about halfway through it.
