Friday Finds

Friday Finds is hosted by MizB at You Should Be Reading.

I love me some vampires so long as they're the predatory capable of ripping your face off type who wouldn't be caught dead in a freaking high school unless it was to feed on everyone there in a huge blood orgy.  And stuff.

I'm pretty fond of Stephen King, too, so I was thrilled to read on the Daily Beast about his new comic, American Vampire, done with Scott Snyder and Rafael Albuquerque.  It's set in the wild, wild West and examines the life and times of America's first vampire - Skinner Sweet.  Published by Vertigo, it's out in comic book format now and will be released in hardback in October.  Thanks Mr. King for being another author riding to the rescue of the much maligned and dumbed down vampire.  You rock!

  1. Great pick, I love your take on vampires. :) Have you read The Strain by Guillermo del Toro and Chuck Hogan? I haven't read it yet, but it seems that would be more in your line of vampire novel. :)

My find is at The Crowded Leaf.
